I still believe in his arm and his future, but this is now a penant race situation and he can't be allowed to continue to lose them every 5th game. Send him down.

Either send him down tonight or his new role should be a long reliever until he can be straightened out. You can't compete with this in your rotation every five days. It destroys the BP.
Anybody tracking how DL Hall is faring?

He's terrible, too.

Rodriguez gotta gi down and Irvin up after tonight.
Agree. His potential is there, but something is clearly not right. Work it out in Norfolk, not on a playoff hopeful team.

I agree with this. Under more normal circumstances for him, I'd let him work through it.....but he has innings limits this year and he straight up isn't earning that opportunity. I think we determined he is in for a full year of service (?) and you don't get that with this performance.
Manage the innings, let Irvin get another chance, see you after the ASB.

Why do our pitching prospects continue to suck so much. It's freaking infuriating.
Like the Ravens never being able to develop stud wide receivers, for whatever reason, the Orioles continually fail with starting pitchers. Either they just plain suck or they're always hurt. I don't know who's going to be a free agent next winter but if this team really wants to win it all, they're going to have to sign an established, starter in his prime. Preferably two of them. Just develop every day players and if you have minor arms with talent, use them as trade bait.

Lol, McKenna. Well, credit where it's due to Hyde. Getting through a 10-2 stinker using only 2 bullpen arms is about the best you can hope for.

Time to have a serious discussion about Ortiz > Mateo.
I’ll have the discussion. Ortiz

Though shalt not doubt Mr April. His base running is the ultimate weapon. (ignore that .155 OBP this month)
