He was actually really slumping after those first 2 great games (7-43 with no extra base hits). Hopefully this gets him going.

Repeat rant, but it really bothers me that in game commercials - even involving the announcers - tout odds on different prop bets while the all time MLB hits leader is banned from baseball and the HoF because he bet on games.$$$$ rules

It's a strange dynamic.

I never imagined that baseball would embrace gambling so fervently.

Save for horse racing, I have never been much of a gambler. I agree with you that the whitewashing and the general dismissal of gambling addiction is troubling.
