Very fascinated by San Diego State at BYU tonight. Two former arch rivals that have continued to play each other throughout the year's. That building is always rocking for a big game and I don't expect that to change with the reigning National Runner Ups heading to town. Would be a huge confidence booster for the Cougars to get this one before they start up league play as the newest member of the Big 12.

A few terrific games last night, my guy Caleb Love wins at Duke AGAIN!!
Virginia/Florida was great as well, as was Clemson/UAB.
Great to have this back in my life, especially with Baseball over.

Louisville lost to Chattanooga! What in the actual hell. Can't believe they're about to be this bad again.

They actually had to rally from 24 down just to make it look respectable.
what a mess, I wonder how short the leash will be with Payne.

Cooley will definitely figure it out long term, but there are some growing pains. Georgetown lost to Holy Cross tonight at home. They are 331st in KenPom (out of 362).

Maryland’s next opponent, #21 Villanova wasn’t as lucky, falling to Penn 76-72.
It’s certainly been a wild first week+ to the season. November Madness.

Miami, who is ranked 12th, got pushed to the brink but ultimately prevailed against FIU.

That's part of the Big 5 Tournament, and this particular game was held at The Palestra (one of the greatest college basketball venues in the country). That loss stings.

FAU ranked #5, and Duke falling only to #4 after losing a game at Cameron Indoor vs AZ is LOL AF.
It's weird. They want to acknowledge a mid-major like FAU, but bend over backwards to give post-K era Duke the benefit of the doubt.
Still, it's early in the season.

I mean the bigger point is, do you think someone with that energy believes in their soul they can win a Natty? This was always my biggest issue with Turgeon. Hat hangers.

Despite the loss last night, I still think there are plenty of things to be excited about with this Kentucky team. DJ Wagner and Justin Edwards combined to score 5 points on 1/18 from the field and 0/6 from three. Plus their top returning scorer from last season Antonio Reeves shot 7/25 from the field and 3/17 from three point range. The fact that these guys played so poorly and Kentucky still almost beat the #1 ranked team in the country should be a positive and I feel good about Big Blue going forward.

I'm a little worried about Villanova to be honest. You can't just start to pay all of these new transfers significant NIL money and pretend like the Villanova way still exists. I bet Hakim Hart might be having some second thoughts about deciding to leave Maryland. It looks like they can really use him back as well.

I think in 'Nova's instance, the bigger issue they're facing is whether or not Kyle Neptune (seriously, is that the name of a DJ on some hit morning show?) is the real deal.

There's no better time of the year to be a College Basketball fan than Feast Week, and we will have games throughout the day starting this afternoon! The Charleston Classic is always one event I really look forward to and with a loaded field featuring Houston, St. John's, Dayton, LSU, Utah and Wake Forrest this year, I'm very intrigued. There is definitely some pressure on Rick Pitino's team to at least player better today in their opener against North Texas. Especially after what happened on Monday Night against Michigan. I would love to see a St. John's vs Houston title game on Sunday Afternoon.

Just watched UConn take out Indiana (minus its freshman wunderkind, Stephon Castle who is out about a month due to a small knee procedure), winning by 20 points v Indiana at MSG.
That Indiana team would've mopped the floor with Maryland (given their efforts so far this season).

KenPom and other advanced metrics love them, too. Ugh, how annoying. Hurley drives me crazy.

He's created a culture of winning up in Storrs.
Last night they took down Texas, who clearly should be ranked higher than 15.
