Gives it right back. Don’t love the mental make up today. Took til the 4th to have a clean inning for him. The O’s reward him by knotting it up. Then he comes out and immediately gets in a jam and gives up a run. Bad first outing. Long season to go. I saw glimpses of a guy who knows how to pitch. For him, command and being on top his game is probably really important. Doesn’t have the stuff to overcome it if he doesn’t. He got squeezed a bit today too IMO.

Baker had a lot of good moments last year. I think he earned a look into this year. But if he couldn't repeat what he did, that wouldn't be a surprise.

He didn't do too badly. That bloop hit let in two runs, but he didn't give up anything else in spite of the error.
