Maybe late as a reliever since he's already on the 40 man but I would bet they wait for 2025.

Any idea when Johnson will get a bump up to Norfolk?
He's been pretty good all year. He's had two weird control blips, his first three starts he walked 9 guys in 8.1 innings and in 4 straight starts in June he walked 14 guys in 12.1 innings. Only 12 walks in 40.1 innings otherwise (2.7 per 9). It's unfair to cherry pick and throw out 1/3 of his innings on the year, but the way they were clumped make me wonder about what was going on.
Before the year I was hoping he'd have a chance to help us in the bullpen this year. Seems unlikely to do that at this point even if he gets promoted to AAA now, but maybe an outside shot. He's been limited to 70 pitches this year, so not stretched out enough to help as a starter and don't know how willing to interrupt that slow recovery they'd be by putting him in an MLB bullpen.
