It’s Mahomes, right decision, wrong play call/execution IMO.
What a stupid decision. It’s that time of year again.

You make any QB go an extra 30+ yards. They already punted away a 57 yard FG attempt earlier in the game. It wasn’t a win the game kind of get 2 yards like there was only seconds left.

Agree regarding the right call and I think that's an easy decision. The difference between getting that first down and an extra 30 yards of field position heavily weighs toward the former on what's more consequential imo.

It’s Mahomes. He isn’t part of this normal strategy stuff. No way do I give any F’s about giving Mahomes a shorter field with 2 and 1/2 minutes left.

I don't take a ton from this game though. The pick 6 was flukey, and the Chiefs were without what are clearly their 2nd and 3rd most valuable players.

Especially only needing a field goal and in a great position for that field goal to end the game.

He is going to be shredded this week in KC. Good lord. What an abysmal performance.
So who is signing Toney this week when he is cut in about 10 minutes?

I know they have won a playoff game or two in my lifetime but this is a signature win for what should be a first place team in a weak division.

Biggest Lions win, ever?

Probably the biggest ever is still the 1957 Western Conference playoff against San Francisco. You know your franchise has floundered a bit when arguably your biggest win dates back to Eisenhower.

I'm glad I don't have to listen to Bengals fans anywhere talk about how Joe Burrow is going to sign a team friendly deal and torch the Ravens for the rest of time because they're going to have enough money to re-sign Higgins and Chase.

I imagine Higgins will be departing now.

Their whole WR group should be shredded. I've can't remember ever seeing so many drops in my life. Even that pick 6 was a fluke caused by their receiver. If they even cut those drops in half they probably beat the Lions 27-14. And where was Sky Moore? I kept hearing how he was the guy who was going to step up for them this year. Did he even have a catch?

He was 0-3 but has a carry for 4 yards. You’re right that the whole WR corps was awful, and Skyy certainly deserves the honorable mention, but yeah Toney was just soooo bad in so many key moments. I guess the silver lining for Toney over Moore is he was getting open a lot.Their whole WR group should be shredded. I've can't remember ever seeing so many drops in my life. Kelce. He is that guy. Overshadowed by Mahomes, but I don’t think we fully appreciate how important he is to that whole thing. He’s WR1.
