I was surprised no one picked him up just to eat some innings.

He was DFAd and no one wanted him. This move has disaster written all over it.
What real option did they have?

Brandon Young would've been interesting if he was on normal rest, but yeah, very few options.

I think I actually trust him more than Rogers, so there's that. He was quite effective, even very good at times, for about two months. Like most of the pitching staff, just gotta cross your fingers and hope they can hang on for dear life until October.

Yeah they should bring up another arm. Dis they send Tate back or was he still out there. Weird he was never used this series if he was up the whole time
Rogers is optionable, so can send him down today and get an extra BP arm until we'd need Irvin to start again a week from Saturday. Irvin could be available from the pen for a few games himself.

They'll need to option somebody when Akin returns in a day or two. If the timing doesn't line up, then could send Rogers out today and get a warm body for tomorrow, then Akin back Friday and warm body back to Norfolk.

Twins claimed him. He wasn't good overall but had his moments.

He'll probably throw a shutout in game 162 to eliminate the O's from the playoffs.

Hernaiz seemed like he was rising as a prospect at the time of the deal, he wasn't nothing. But was a reasonable cost for a close to average SP with lots of control. Hell of a lot better cost than Norby+Stowers
