Let's hope the Orioles show up tonight. They phoned it in yesterday. I think they score at least 6 tonight. How about that for optimism??

Wentz is a lefty, but can we please just put our best lineup out tonight, and IMO that starts with Cedric as the leadoff guy.

Aguilar and Hays instead of Mullins frustrates me.
Have gotta wonder if this obnoxious platooning that they've done later on this season limits his desire to extend here. And then if they know they can't (or don't want to, as is probably also the case) extend him when do they use him as trade bait. Hopefully at least for a legit SP. Its feels like the O's want out of the Mullins business, so I guess lets cash him in before they devalue him further. Maybe they're just being hypersensitive to relatively small sample size struggles and if he can return to hitting lefties really well like he did last year they'll play him accordingly. If they platoon him to start 2023...

Hard to return to hitting lefties well when you are on the bench against lefties.

Mullins
2022 .561 OPS vs. LHP. 168 ab's.
2021 .788 OPS vs. LHP. 224 ab's.
He's 4 for his last 21, and 11 for his last 46. (Overall.)
Overall: .262 / .324 / .404 (.728 OPS)
Hays .704 OPS vs. LHP.
Overall: .248 / .306 / .411 (.717 OPS)
Yeah, odd about Aguilar.... since he has a .580 OPS vs. LHP this year.
I would have Mullins in CF for his defense, have Santander at DH, and McKenna in RF (or left if you prefer Hays' arm in right).

If you think Hays or Aguilar have earned it over Mullins I think that's utterly insane.Earn your time. Its that simple
And this season is not the only time baseball has been played. We've got more history than that to base the evaluations on. I'd much rather have Mullins at the plate than Hays or Aguilar.

Dumb lineup. No way I am batting our best hitter leadoff. 3rd or 4th and freaking leave him there.

Should be Stowers > Aguilar. Stowers has one plate appearance versus a lefty despite hitting them better than RHP in his minor league career.
