Dumbest thing I've seen Mateo do in a long time. Error almost turned into a total catastrophe with an insanely stupid throw that fortunately didn't hurt.

Both? Just weird watching him play so good in the outfield in AAA and then look unsure of himself so far in the bigs.

The official scorers have basically completely removed the error from baseball. Unless you botch an utterly routine play it's scored a hit. I dislike that. Either have errors and score them accordingly or just get rid of it entirely.
I wouldn't have given him an error but that throw was dumb.
