Win tomorrow and root hard for the Rays.
I know we're rooting for the Rays but as long as we win 2 losses by either them or the Blue Jays makes it interesting too.

Meh...lot less of a chance for the Rays to lose enough games if we can't do the losing to them like we can the Jays.
Possible, but the reason head-to-head remaining with Toronto is the main reason that the gap doesn't feel insurmountable. 5 games in 3 weeks without any head-to-head is a big ask. Toronto losing is much better for the O's chances than TB losing when the two play each other.

It might work out OK for the O's if Toronto were to win 8 of 9 against the Rays. That might actually be better than the Rays winning the series 5-4. It really would have been nice if the O's had tried a little harder to win the season series against the Rays - they're really 6 game behind, because Tampa has the tiebreaker.

I wasn't suggesting that at all. Of course the head to head makes a big difference. I'm just saying that if we win and the Rays lose the next 2 to the Blue Jays being 3 back of them is not insurmountable especially when you at look at the 6 games they have left with the Astros as well as another series against the Blue Jays. I'm even interested in this 10 game road trip the Mariners have. Just keeping hope alive despite the odds.

At this point the best thing for the O's is for TB to beat Toronto the next 2 days and beat the crap out of them so their bullpen is out of gas.
