I feel like the Aguilar signing shows how easily replaceable a backup first baseman is.

I think you’re literally talking “easily replaceable”. As in you could literally ask anyone to sign here and become a DH/1B. That’s easy.

Trying to match the production lost with those guys is not easy. Evidenced because they are still trying after a month to fill a hole left by their #2-3 hitter. Who knew those guys aren’t just growing on trees. Aguilar wouldn’t have been signed if they filled the void already.

Aguilar isn't that much of a step back from Mancini for the amount of time he'll be in the lineup. I still make the Mancini trade 100 times out of 100.
