IMO, a free bat who is the type of hitter that the Orioles should take a chance on.

Does anybody else remember when a baseball actually had a chance to last through multiple batters? The frequency with which they are discarded these days is astounding.

Many years ago balls were regularly put back in play when a pitcher rejected them. I remember one umpire said Palmer was the only pitcher able to send back a ball he'd already rejected.

This seems very narrow minded. I don't know how his defense was there in the minors.

If I recall, Brooks Robinson had a 3 error game very early in his career. He ended up being a pretty, pretty good 3rd baseman.

I nam not sure you have to have a backup first baseman.  I liked the set up the Orioles had with Trey and Mountcastle splitting two spots..  

I like the Aguilar pickup, he may be able to play the same role.  

He is a big man.  He makes the Orioles tougher to beat in a bench clearing brawl.
