Not the best matchup tonight. Cease K's everybody and their brother against our free swingers. Gonna have to hit better than we have been.

Will they start Stowers over Hays to get another lefty in the lineup?

Put them both in the lineup.
Cease will win the Cy Young if Verlander does not, so it will be tough. Make him work and see if we can get him out of the game by the 6th.

Need our most patient lineup out there tonight. Work him hard and try and get his pitch count up.

Yeah, I was thinking that Vavra would DH (patient lefty), so there wouldn't be room for both Hays and Stowers.

I forgot Vavra was back. Put him in at 2nd base.

Turns out that Hays, Vavra, and Stowers are all in the lineup. Odor playing 3B.

Cease is about 100 OPS points better against RHP, so stacking with lefties makes a lot of sense. I like the lineup.
Will like it much better once Odor is replaced with Henderson!

Lefty heavy. I like it.
Hopefully the infield defense holds up.

White Sox are a bit more righty-heavy than most teams. 75% of their PAs are as RHB (league average is 66%). All their best hitters are RH. Come on wall, do your thing!

ERA by a mile but he's similarly behind in innings.
Wouldn't need to be very good during the innings he needs to make up the difference on everyone though. Kremer is the most challenging, Voth would need a 4.32 ERA over his next 33 IP to match Kremer's ERA and IP on the year. 4.81 over 52 IP to match Wells. 5.23 over 32 IP to match Watkins. 5.41 over 96 to match Lyles.
Can't say I exactly have confidence in any of these guys to throw a decent game whenever they take the hill. But they keep doing it more or less. Wild stuff.

I feel like twice a week it's "Guy who was a Cy Young candidate in the past couple years" vs. "Guy who was a DFA candidate in the past couple years." Yet here we are, still in the thick of it.

Yeah, probably won't score enough against Cease tonight.
