Feel obligated to post his Bowie numbers because they were so much stronger.

Only 157 PA, but 321/417/478/895 with a 150 wRC+.  ISO fell a little, and his base stealing went down the toilet (5 SB / 4 CS), but great debut at Bowie overall.

All numbers for these guys are broken down by level in the depth chart pages btw.

He figured something in out in June/July in Aberdeen and never looked back. Disregard any stolen base numbers with the Ironbirds, Roberto Mercado gives everyone the green light all the time haha.

Promoted to AAA

In your opinion was this even warranted,   just a quick glance at his slash line from Bowie and his numbers weren't exactly impressive.

Crowding in AA, thinning in AAA and his defense and position probably all played into it. Have heard pretty good reviews on his Def this year.

Good walk rate. K rate not great but not terrible. 118 wRC+. Seems good enough to move up, especially if they think he's going to start there next year anyway, and especially if there's encouraging things in the under the hood type numbers that we don't really get to see.

I don't think crowding in AA had anything do with it considering their season was over.

Bowie was done and Norfolk had another week to go.  Elias likes these late season promotions to give the guys a taste of the next level.  That's all it was I think.

Yeah he’s going to start in AAA anyway, may as well get him a taste heading into the offseason. He did have a near .900 OPS over the last month of the AA season so at least ending the year on an upswing.

Going to take more than a .750 OPS and a .413 SLG at AA to get my attention. Maybe he'll add some strength over the offseason, but he definitely took a step backwards as a prospect.

Beavers just needs to develop a power stroke and he's the O's RF for the next decade.

I see that as a competition between him and Kj.

It's just something to watch.  Starting next year at AAA is fine, but starting 2026 at AAA isn't fine.  Again (and again and again) you have to make decisions on every player.  Great that we seem capable of developing Talent, but everyone can't play.

The decision will (should) be made with about 4 months of ML performance next year.  Don't turn this into another Norby, Stowers situation.  Doesn't matter whether you trade for now or trade for future.  Make choices and build the next wave of prospects, repeat.

That's about how our season is going. He's finally showing potential and he runs himself into the wall during BP. Probably to avoid promotion to Baltimore.

Ugh, those injuries have a way of lingering and being worse than they look. It's similar to what I did when I tore my labrum. Mine was partially dislocated, which is going to tear it a little, or at least stretch it to the max, but I came up and tried to make a strong through and I felt it come the rest of the way out and tear right then. Was weird though, a little tingly and numb, and would be a sharp pain right as I rotated to a certain point, but wasn't debilitating like an ACL or something would be. I still played 3 games after it at DH, and hit a HR in there, even though I was basically swinging one handed. I tried the Adam Banks test and failed miserably, and that's when I shut it down and went to the dr.

Getting hurt like that is almost as bad as the George Carlin scenario about making baseball more interesting by having random landmines in the outfield.

Move Ced at the deadline and get this guy some real run the last fee months to see what we have in him.

I think you can count on it.  Ced is going to go.  I want to see Beavers get PT over even a guy like O'Neill.  I know that is not going to happen though.

O’Neill needs to get PT and have a couple 900 OPS months so he opts out.

Rare opportunity to sell at the deadline and not miss (much of) a beat. Mullins and O’Hearn and maybe some of our pitchers (Morton??) will be beauties at the ball. OF depth can cover for Mullins who has lost a step defensively. Bring up Basallo to replace ROH. Get healthy and also buy an arm with control for pitching.
