O’Neill needs to get PT and have a couple 900 OPS months so he opts out.
I have given up on that hope. If he opts out he is more nuts than fragile.
More than likely he is ours for 3 years.

Rare opportunity to sell at the deadline and not miss (much of) a beat. Mullins and O’Hearn and maybe some of our pitchers (Morton??) will be beauties at the ball. OF depth can cover for Mullins who has lost a step defensively. Bring up Basallo to replace ROH. Get healthy and also buy an arm with control for pitching.
Just curious, by buy an arm do you mean through trade or free agency?

Can't get on board with the idea that selling doesn't mean we're packing it in for a wild card push in 2025. Be honest about what's happening. If we trade Eflin, Sugano, O'Hearn, Mullins, and Kittredge then we're not making or continuing a run.
I'm more than fine with selling assuming we don't so something insane over the next month. Just don't pretend selling means we're still trying to win now. We aren't.

Trade at the deadline, FA and/or trade in the offseason.
Do you think we see a different approach from Elias. Much of what he spent this off season will come off the books, but the pressure should be placed on him this off season. Another swing and miss like this year and the bullseye is squarely on him.

I am not trading ROH unless we are out of it. Now of course the offer matters but I just don't want to trade our most consistent hitter.

I just can't support the idea that Mullins, O'Hearn, Eflin and Kittredge aren't significantly better than the internal replacements we'd have in-house for them.
These aren't four 5-WAR guys that can't ever be replaced, but they are all solid starters (late-inning relief in Kittredge case) and some rookies aren't likely to slide in and give us 80% of their production. And we don't have any margin for error to make a playoff push.
You trade people and you're consciously saying goodbye to those chances. Can't reasonably have it both ways, IMO.

Maybe you keep ROH depending on how things go but I think you trade Mullins no matter what. And you wouldn’t be ok with trading one or two of the FA pitchers if it meant acquiring Sandy Alcantara who could help this year and the next two?
I'm ok with trading everyone and I'm ok with acquiring Alcantara or other guys who aren't prospects.
But trading away all the pending FAs means we're packing it in. It's punting. I'm good with that, the odds are long, the team stinks and unless we go on a huge run over the next 4 weeks that won't change. But I don't wanna hear from Elias or anyone that those trades don't signal that the team isn't pushing for the postseason. You've clearly picked a lane if you do that, just be honest about it.

I dont think youre gonna get much of a return for Morton or Sugano for example. If you are a fringe contender you may just hold them the rest of the year. If you are def out of it you take your chances on whatever you can gwt in return
The bigger question for me is do they consider selling any players with team control

I don’t think so except for maybe a Cano or Baker if they feel like they can get great value for a reliever.

Never been a huge Beavers. The numbers this year are nice, though. The swing I see from the highlights doesn't impress me much. Obviously not on the same tier of prospects, but sort of the same as when I first saw Wieters and didn't quite understand how he got hyped.
I hope he proves me wrong.

Beavers might be AAAA too but at least he brings more D and speed than Kjerstad. Got to give him a look. Heard he may struggle with high velo
