I am so waiting for our top ranked MiL system to start translating into everyday players for the big club. I really enjoy reading your on the farm ups and downs even moreso than for the big club. Following what the guys on the O's are doing (or not doing) is pretty easy. Lot harder to see what's happening in the minors.

Good to see guys off to good starts.  There's a number of them.

The question remains, the depth is interesting, but so what.  Your success in the majors isn't the accumulation of everyone at a position, you only get the guy you decide to play there.

 

My other question is how are we going to scout the SEC if Blaine Knight can't stick around.

I don't see much reason not to get Bradish up this week.  He threw 87 pitches in his last outing, so he's certainly stretched enough to go the 4-5 IP the O's are asking of their starters.  Thursday should be the magic day that they can call him up and he won't get a full year of service (he is on the 40-man so needs to be optioned for more than 20 days...April 7 thru Apr 27 is 21 days...can call him up on Thur Apr 28).

I think there is a good chance. But even if not this week then very very soon.

Nice to see Henderson surging.  The Orioles infield needs at least 2 or maybe 3 new players next year.  Henderson might be the Orioles 3rd baseman for a long time.

Fan of Mayo as all Os fans are but this article made me realize Mayo and Henderson are the same age and Henderson is tearing up AA. Henderson is about 5 months older but still what a stud.

Yeah if Gunnar was born 2 days later he'd be 20 in baseball years. Good stuff.

It is nice to see Westburg righting the ship.  The Orioles infielders are hard to watch.

I noted it when Westburg was in the worst part of his slump that basically everything but the batting avg was  still ok.
