16-0.

Norby with a .919 OPS now at Bowie. He has to be seriously on the prospect radar now too.

You could argue he is top 10

FanGraphs has it as 40 now, 50 future. I was gonna say 45 so that sounds right to me. Definitely hit first but not going to kill you.

As a 2B it feels like that's perfectly acceptable.

Westburg 2-4, BB

I wonder how good Stowers chances are of winning International League MVP

Probably not, he's been good but these leagues aren't wedded to giving it to a prospect (Aderlin Rodriguez, formerly of the Baysox, won last year).

Stowers leads the league in 2B and is second in RBI. Tied for 4th in HR, 1 behind the leaders. He's 20th in OPS, though that's using BR's very low 105 AB to qualify, he's 6th in OPS among players with at least 60 games. (Aside, Tim Beckham is still around, has a 1.062 OPS in 33 games, Twins just brought him up). Very good year, would get votes but probably not the best, though he could still go one one of his HR runs and take control. But hopefully he stops accumulating stats soon.

Kjerstad was pulled I think for not hustling out of box, choosing to slam his bat in frustration.  I mean, a nice move by the manager from a message perspective.  And Kjerstad also clearly cares and is competitive, which is also a good sign.

Learning how to struggle is just as important as learning how to excel.  Hopefully this turns out to be a positive in the long run.

it really is amazing how much better Cowser has done at AA than single A.

The OBP is really promising.  The only down stat is stolen bases.  He ran crazy at Aberdeen but stopped at Bowie.  Nit picking though.  I wonder if he gets a taste of AAA before the year is done.

I asked Bob this question on Twitter but thought I’d put it here too. What is Jackson Holiday’s defense like is it more JJ Hardy or Jorge Mateo? Either is a quality defensive shortstop I’m just curious.

Haven’t seen him nearly enough to give a confident answer but probably somewhere in the middle leaning slightly towards Mateo?
