PFN: 16) Baltimore Ravens: Ikem Ekwonu, OT, NC State

The Baltimore Ravens don’t walk, they run to grab the services of Ikem Ekwonu. A powerful pass protector on the edge, Ekwonu excels in run blocking. Charles Cross could be the pick here, but he’d have to make wholesale adjustments to Baltimore’s run-first offense. Securing a player who can play right away is paramount. Ekwonu is mean, he’s ferocious, and he’s technically sound. I don’t care where he plays — just play him on my offensive line.

CBS Sports: 16) Baltimore Ravens: Ahmad Garner, CB, Cincinnati  Gardner feels like a Ravens type of cornerback. In-your-face, physical, dynamic in man coverage.

Sign me up for Ekwonu.

This draft really aligns well with our weaknesses.

You can find a difference maker at 14.

However, knowing EDC, we trade back 5 times and draft at 29 while getting a plethora of 3rd and 4th rounders.

Don't worry... One or two of those 4th rounders will be ready to make an impact just as they hit free agency.

I've seen mocks where Hamilton has fallen to 14. If he's there at 14 and we trade back, I might have a sizable meltdown. That kid might be the best player in the draft, not named Kayvon Thibodeaux.

What position does he play?

Safety.

Best safety prospect since Jamal Adams. Except he's more of a FS/Hybrid type.

Hes 6'4", 220 lbs. He can fly. He can play man coverage as good as any CB in the draft. He has phenomenal ball skills and instincts. A lot of people are considering him the best player in the draft, even moreso than Thibodeaux.

Sounds impressive. Definitely a position of need on this team.

I'm all in on taking a big play making safety in the first if he's there.

Of course, will Wink have him blitzing on 3rd and 9... and take him out of the safety position and thus nullify ball / coverage skills? Always a question worth asking...

Chances are he runs a 4.4 or better 40, and he ends up going in the top 5 like he should. He's my personal favorite prospect this year.

My guess this early being Thibodeaux, Hutchinson, Stingley, Hamilton, Neal and Karlaftis are near locks to be gone in the top 10.

Hamilton was rated top 5 before the bowl games. He got injured during the Fiesta Bowl. Haven't seen what it was but its caused a drop in where he might be picked.

Normal pre-draft stuff. Some guys fall for no reason, some rise for no reason. Dust will settle eventually around a month before the draft. I fully expect him to go in the top 10.

Realistically, I would love Linderbaum or Green. I like Linderbaum more, but Green has played significant snaps at LT, LG, RG and RT. And he played good at every spot. That kind of versatility is invaluable to a team that constantly needs fill-ins at both tackle spots and LG.

I'd only do it for a stud DE, but our pick and next year's #1 should get us to top-5 by the chart.  I don't have all the recent trades but I've felt that teams have been going over chart value to move up that much the last few years, so maybe need to add a 3rd or something.

I'd probably not do that type of trade now that we'll be paying Lamar so much soon.  Gonna need those good players on cheap deals.

Balt Sun: The Ravens have the No. 14 pick in the NFL draft. Here are five potential targets.

No way. Sure if you told me I was guaranteed to draft a Von Miller, Khalil Mack, JJ Watt. Cant take the risk

Von Miller, Khalil Mack and JJ Watt were also just names on a draft board at one point with nothing but potential. Thibodeaux and Hutchinson have the same potential that those names you mention had on draft day. If one of those two slips to 3 or 4 and EDC moved up to grab them, I wouldn't be that upset about it.

You should see what Parsons did for the Cowboys defense this season. Went from bottom tier in takeaways to first in the NFL in takeaways this season, and a lot of that can be attributed to him.
