Not the kid's fault, but I'll bet having him around ends up being a bigger headache than it's worth.

Tangential Maryland ties or not, Enfield's pretty overrated to me. Seems almost every year he's heralded for bringing in a top class but can't seem to do much with them, especially when it counts - fluke virus-impacted E8 run notwithstanding. 

 

Bringing in James Jr. - hardly a transformational player - won't move the needle much, I'd guess. Given that, and all the extracurricular stuff surrounding him, I wouldn't be surprised to see Southern Cal have a trainwreck of a season.

 

Anyway, might as well take this chance to say Maryland got the best guy for its program and the institution as a whole; he's a fantastic representative of the university. For the first time in a while I feel really positive and optimistic about UMd. hoops going forward.
