It is disappointing to see a young kid, who the front office seemed high on, not be able to get in shape.
Yeah I'm not a doctor but I feel like you can still be uhh chubby and still produce in the majors but Creed just had some really awkward looking swings but there certainly seemed like there was some power when he ran into one

Bad numbers overall but he's been a lot better in the past month after he missed a couple weeks in July. Since 7/24 in 20 g and 72 PAs:
.270/.333/.492 .825 OPS, 122 wRC+, 4 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR.

If you're out of shape in your teens, you're hopeless as an adult unless you go through a drastically lifestyle change.
That was my concern too, although he has plenty of time to right things.

So, after an awful 2022, Willems is OPSing 1.3 in low-A. I heard he might have gotten hurt from some HBP, so that might be holding him back temporarily, but he's got to be rearing back for a promotion soon.
He's only 19, 6 months older than Holliday, which is surprising because it feels like he's been in the system forever.

Big boy. Wonder if he can stay at catcher long term.

He came into this season in much better shape. Strikeout rate is way down, walk rate is way up early on. Hopefully back in the lineup soon.

Promoted to Aberdeen per Aberdeen's twitter.
.302/.442/.615 194 wRC+ this year. 16.7% BB rate after 5.7% last year, something really changed this year you love to see it.

That's fair, but he's still young like you said. If as Bob said he's in much better shape this year that bodes well. We'll see...
