4 of the 6 months he had an ERA under 3.00. June was 3.54. April they only struggle at 6.14.

From July on he lowwred his ERA and WHIP each month.

July: 2.25, 1.031
Aug: 2.12, 0.98
Sept: 2.06, 0.80

If we go strictly by ERA+ Bedard matched him in 2007. The laat time his season was topped was Mussina back in the strike shortened '94 season. He had a 164 ERA+ that year. From strictly an ERA+ perspective Im guessing its a top 10 season of all time. Will go check some of the other years from older pitchers

And April he missed time after taking that line drive off the foot.

Well that is pretty good sounding. Not holding my breath but maybe there is some hope.

That's all well and good. Just waiting for the inevitable.

It's only inevitable if you ignore all the times that a forearm or elbow injury didn't require Tommy John. I wouldn't complain about "likely", but inevitable is an inaccurate description.

64 pitches in his last start. That's encouraging and surprising all at the same time.

The numbers werent good but that really is pretty meaningless. Up to 60+ and at AAA tells me we may see him in a few weeks if no setbacks.

Pretty surprised by the acceleration, but exciting to see it.  Them being reckless isn't a concern of mine, so however fast they think he can go is good with me.

Use the bullets he has left in his arm in MLB. I get that he has to have some rehab starts but no need for an extended ST type run.
