Assistant coach DeAndre Haynes has left the program for a job on Shaka Smart’s staff at Marquette.

247 article says Duane Simpkins might be in consideration to take his spot. Think thats a good idea.

I like the idea of Simpkins coming back.

IMS unlocked their premium content for the day... some good info...
https://247sports.co...tm_content=Link

- Danny Manning likely to join Turgeon's staff.  Duane Simpkins not interviewed.

- Maryland eyeing Texas A&M transfers Cashius McNeilly, and Emanuel Miller.

- Maryland working on JUCO F Langston Wilson

- Jeff feels Wiggins and Morsell are gone, Ayala likely back.

I wasn't throwing any parties when Turgeon was extended, but there definitely seems to be some positive energy around the program right now.

There's worst things to have than stability

There's so much wrong with this mindset, respectfully.

The goal is to win championships, well at most places anyway. Not here. Because we'd rather stably suck.

I'll happily take Maryland's last four years over Indiana's last four years without hesitating

They're the same.

They're clearly not the same, but that doesn't make Maryland's recent past nor the future outlook with Turgeon at the helm acceptable.

The only difference is Indiana gets a head start on attempting to find a coach that can win a Natty.

The only difference is Indiana is willing to turnover the position until they get back to where they want to be. Maryland isn't.

If you can't get more enjoyment out of the past 4 years of Terps basketball than out of the past 4 years of Indiana basketball then I think you're doing it wrong.

83-45 versus 67-58

44-34 in conference versus 33-44

Two and would've made a 3rd tourney versus none

One share of a big ten championship versus not

Keeping Turgeon at all is a mistake, IMO, and there is no argument that the extension as structured is a good idea, but you can be disappointed in the Terps results and outlook without saying asinine things.

I've said nothing remotely asinine. Sure, there were more enjoyable moments, even with the ultimate understanding it was never actually leading anywhere significant.

Indiana is also on a 9-game losing streak against Purdue. Maryland doesn't have an in-state rival like that but still, another demonstration that acting like IU and UMD have had the same last four years is pretty silly.

No asinine things were said but whatever. Ill continue to be completely apathetic towards the program.
