[You Play to Win the Game]

Even with a "total collapse", I think if MD wins this, they're pretty much in.  They're not even really on the bubble at this point.  You beat MSU after the week that they've had, I think even losing their final 2 and then the 1st round of the Big 10 tournament and they'd probably still be safe.

 

Of course, it would be better to just keep winning and not worry about it.

I think you're probably right, especially after last night's big win for MSU.

Michigan State is making a run, but they have a tough schedule.

and a home and home with Michigan to close the year.

 

They have to have tomorrow's game.  I am hoping to see Maryland match the intensity.

I think if they lose 3 of the last 4, the bubble gets awfully thin, but likely does not bust.

Gotta imagine he plays. I've got a hard time coming up with a scenario where Morsell is given the opportunity to test it out and see if he can go but ends up not playing. They'll have to take his shoes away. That guy is so tough it's hard to make up a hyperbolic example of how tough he is.

I think this is a game that Scott and Hamilton have to be big.  MSU will be physical and those 2 will have to produce.  If they do, Marylands guards should prove the difference. This has the Big Game feel.  The Terps win, they are in, if the Spartans win, they still have a chance.

We can argue about leaving behind Duke/UNC/etc endlessly but this is the big game out of all of the Big Ten opponents almost every year so I hope today is fun

Yeah I think MSU is the only Big Ten opponent that means anything to the Terps or their fans beyond their current record. Nothing compared to the ACC, and it's only because of the Spartans long history of success and not due to a mutual rivalry, but it is at least a little something above the rest of the conference.
