No way do we get the #5 for Brown, IMO. Somewhere in 20s and a 2nd or 3rd depending on how high seems close to best case to me.

This is where Im tempted to roll the dice on a Brown trade. Say we can get a Jax, NYJ, Cin type team to give us their '22 1st rounder for him and say a '21 3rd or 4th. I understand that lessens our '21 team only getting a mid round pick but the chance to draft in the top 5 in '22 is so enticing. I would expect worse case scenario to be a team like that makes strides and gets to 8-8 and you end up drafting in the middle of the first round in '22.

I am not on board with waiting until 22.  Our time to win is now, I want to put the best team possible on the field, this year.

Totally on board with this thought if it means keeping Brown. If I were to move Brown this offseason Im pretty sure Id be trying to get a '22 pick from a team I expected to have a losing record in '21.

Then I don't make the trade.  Brown is a known commodity, not a rookie coming out of college so while the Bengals may not want to spend the money on extending him, it would be an immediate upgrade for their OL, which they desperately need if they want to keep Burrow out of harm's way.  To get a pick in the 20's isn't good enough for me, especially trying to replace Brown with a draft pick. And a 2nd or 3rd round would be an insult and I'd just laugh at them over the phone.

There has been very little movement of edge rushers.  I think patience really pays off for the Ravens.

Looking back to the early 2020 season, when the offense was really struggling, it seems to me all the fans were complaining "Roman is trying to turn Lamar into a pocket passer!" and "Let Lamar be Lamar!" You're never going to please everyone.

 

I don't hold with the idea "This is what they did last year so this is what they will always do." Makes no sense. Maybe WRs really don't want to play for Greg Roman, but IMO a player that is only concerned about his own numbers is not a guy you want on your team anyway. So yeah, draft or trade.

If Juju hadn't been a member of the Steelers prior, I honestly believe he'd be a Raven this offseason. He turned down more money simply because his best choices were the team that drafted him, and their biggest rival.
