Well, I'm gonna blame it on my motherI have learned from experience that it's often not a good idea to call out people who are making extremely emotional posts in game threads, because then they may direct that negative emotion at me and that's no fun for anybody.
After she saw the whole Selma march on TV, with dogs and firehoses on little kids, she changed. After that, if somebody used the N-word in public (which used to be pretty normal), she'd walk right up to them and tell them to keep their filthy mouth at home where her kids wouldn't have to be exposed to that kind of garbage, and if they were gonna be out in public, they needed to show some respect. And, boy, she got some big guys backpedalling in a hurry. I learned a lesson from that: if you're there and somebody starts spewing garbage, you don't let it ride, you point it out for the garbage it is, otherwise people will think it's OK when it's not OK. Now, I fully realize this isn't quite the same thing, but still... garbage is garbage...
ps: She also yelled at umpires... no four-letter words, but she used the word "jackass" a lot...
