You'd be surprised how high up the food chain these things are coming from...
What % chance do you give contraction of happening?

Not good at all. Single digits at best. It is on the short list of things they are looking into though, with removal being at the top of the list. Hear that under the table agreements were not upheld, and when confronted about the revenue sharing problem this past year, his response was downright confrontational. (All behind closed doors of course, as all internal owner strife is)

Oh, I don't doubt it. And like I said, MLB might try to do some of these things. They just probably can't succeed.
My guess is that they want to use their pure mass against Loria to convince him that the fight would not be worth it. That way he simply sells, makes a ridiculous profit, and goes on his way like McCourt did.

Another issue: when whichever route MLB chooses ends up in court, a lot of the "behind closed doors" stuff may well end up in front instead. Which would be Loria's strategy: "Take me down and you all come with me."

Double-awesomeness: Marlins are covering the upper deck for multiple upcoming series, and no business is willing to open in the commercial space around the park.

If you want to see Clancy cry like a baby, show him that photo.

This whole situation is so sad in so many different ways. "Rape" was the correct term to be used in this situation, since there isn't a better word to describe what happened in Miami.

Kevin Slowey follow's up Jose Fernandez's 6 inning 1 run start, with 7 innings of shutout ball after entering to pitch in the 13th. Shaun Marcum follows up Matt Harvey's 7 inning 1 run start, with 8 innings of 1-run (the losing run) ball after entering the game in the 13th. Slowey takes the win, Marcum takes the loss.
I don't know if I've ever seen anything like that before.
And the Jays beat the Rangers 4-3 in 18. So two games combined for 38 innings today. I bet both of these games combine to be close to a record.

I was inclined to say yes initially, then I saw he's under team control until 2016, so it's not crazy to think the Marlins could have one of their once every decade runs by then. I wouldn't rule it out, but I'd have to be holding out if I were them for a really good deal.

That poor city & fanbase, if there is one left.

I think Miami would support a Rays run team... but the Rays fanbase would support a Miami team about the same (which is not very well). So they should switch.

I don't think pro baseball works well in Florida, period.

Yep. But with the Rays being consistently competitive, I really think Miami rallies around a team like that.

This is true. Just saying, eff Loria. Stick him in TB and move the deserving Rays to that gem in Miami and let them draw a nice crowd. It'd work.
Obviously never happens, I'm spitballing and bored.
