Turns out Hardy urged Pedroia to play...and he obliged?

According to Heyman.

Glad Jones didn't chase that pitch in the dirt.

Pitchers duel on our hands. Shields ties Gonzalez with his third strikeout.

MFY's had runners on the corners with 1-out... and Tex hit into a DP...

Is it just me, or is Jones having some pretty bad at bats lately? He seems to be pressing some.

19 pitches for Shields through 2. Good god guys, make him throw some pitches.

A series against the Rays in Tampa is really the last thing an offense needs before the playoffs.
