I didn't like the premiere but the last 5 minutes were interesting. Hopefully it gets better.

Really liking where they are going with this season.

 

Dexter is going to become very close to Vogel IMO.

Looks that way but I bet tragedy is around the corner with her sometime this season.  I liked that they made her out to be a friend instead of trying to track him down.  Wonder if she will help with deb's state of mind.  She also gives you the sense that he could go on doing this.

Yea...I think she dies too...which I also believe will hurt him but could be what brings him back with Deb.

 

It looks like they both confront Deb with everything this week, so maybe that is the start.

 

I still have no idea how they will end it with him but because of his kid, I don't see him being caught or killed...UNLESS he dies in some kind of an admirable way, like when he is saving Deb's life.

If he got caught he would be plotting and killing people daily in his first week of being in Gen Pop lol.

I am loving this series so far...and now, maybe Dexter ends up training his successor?

Yea...not sure what direction they are going to go with her but I'm also glad she is back. Zach may go after Cassie, causing Dexter to take him out.

I would say she's going to turn out to be the big bad of the season or at least training the person it is and testing Dexter. You know, the killer that's taking brain souvenirs.

Yeah but a part of me wishes they wouldn't have thrown in a new character that retcons (to a degree) what made some of the early seasons so good. I thought they had enough to work with for a final season but I'm willing to see where they take it.

I think so, based on the previews. In fact, it's quite possible Deb inadvertently causes Dexter to finally get caught red handed, in the act.
