Watch our for my Broncos this next couple of years. Came from 31-13 behind against the Noles. True freshman QB had 407 yards passing in his first game. And our D totally shut down the Noles in the second half. After getting blitz the first half for over 350 yards in the first half they held them to 75 in the second half.

What a game. WOW!!

I really think they could compete in the Pac-12 and finish top 3, if not win it. Which is the only way we'll have to "look out" for them.

Teams are gonna realize it doesn't benefit them to schedule Boise. Florida St gained nothing if they win. Loses everything by losing.

However. If their true freshman QB is someone special, they rattle off like 40 straight wins, then maybe they will get the respect of being ranked like #4 at the end of a season and get a playoff chance in 2022. Even then it might not be enough depending on the teams in the mix. Cause if they make it up to say 5 or 6, the next season based on recruiting classes they will start at like 17, 23, not ranked at all? And have to climb all over again.

Here is a situation where relegation might be worth while. Assign each P5 conference a G5 conference. The last place team drops to the G5. The corresponding G5 champ moves up to the P5. Basically, the only way to see how the Boise St, UCFs of the world would fair.

Liberty head coach Hugh Freeze coached today's game vs. Syracuse from a hospital bed in the booth. Seriously.

Missouri down 34-17 to Wyoming in the 3rd quarter. Kelly Bryant's debut not exactly going as planned.

Interesting idea Mike. But it would be tough. The problem is that the G5 would still be at a huge disadvantage unless you give them a several year window. Lets take the PAC12 for sake of discussion. Lets move BSU up and Oregon State down.

BSU has a total athletic budget of $48M. Oregon State (one of the lower PAC schools) had a revenue of $80M. So BSU is basically half of what the bottom of the PAC schools get. Now assume that BSU would get OSU's tv revenue share. Clearly that would be more than what they get currently. But that revenue couldn't be put to use until the following season. Now the year that BSU is promoted they do have the increased revenue AND the instant recruiting advantage by being able to say that they are in a P5 conference. And that is clearly a great recruiting tool.

But those "better" recruits typically wouldn't see the field for at least two years (this is especially true for the line positions. Shoot Oregon doesn't even typically award scholarships to lineman until they have been at school for two years in order to get them big and strong enough. Most HS kids are just not ready for that size jump.

So BSU would have to be better right out the gate than the lower echelon of the PAC. And they may well be that right out the gate....look at when Utah made the jump. But unlike in pro sports where you an parlay that money jump to instantly improve your roster that's not possible in college.

But I will say this. Right now, and its been this way for years, you could move BSU to the PAC 12 and they would be competitive right out the gate with their existing teams.
