Very dangerous team
Freeland & Marquez give them something they haven't had in franchise history. A legit 1-2 to compete in a short series.
I like them.

Great year for the Rox, they'll be back next season for sure. Milwaukee was just dominant in this series, Rockies batted .146 in the three games.
Arenado coming into his free agent season in 2019, we'll see how they handle that.

They have Rogers in the minors.
Either get him signed this offseason or trade him.

LeMahieu is a Free Agent, I'm guessing Rogers replaces him..But yeah, it's a Manny like situation, though the Rox will likely be very good again next season.

Right..they could use to go for it, which would be ok.
Still, it may be in the best interest to trade him than to give him a monster deal anyway.
Very interesting situation.

Really is. It could all be avoided if they re sign him in the next 4 months. Just get it done, this is a franchise player undoubtedly.

Arenado extension, 8 years, $260 million.
Good to see this!

Higher AAV, full NTC, and earlier opt-out than Manny but shorter and less overall deal because he's 2 years older. Seems reasonable. He's such a stud. I think Manny is slightly better, but Arenado is amazing.

Arenado is a product of Coors Field. If he had gone anywhere else, the team would have been very disappointed IMO.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

To Pedro's point...
.984 Career Home OPS
.787 Career Away OPS
1.057 Last 3 Years Home OPS
.830 Last 3 Years Away OPS
Glove is excellent of course. Definitely a very good player. Definitely a Coors bump.
That said, Machado also has home / road splits...
Machado
.887 Career Home OPS
.761 Career Road OPS
.936 Last 3 Years Home OPS
.778 Last 3 Years Away OPS

There's truth to the Coors point. There's also additional context, including that a full third of his road games are guaranteed to be in three of the stronger pitchers' parks in the sport, and that many players outside of Coors tend to have better home splits than road.

Homers have been up at Chavez Ravine in recent years, but that's a good point .... LA, SD, SF... has to be considered when looking at his overall road splits.
