I'm shocked a QB that couldn't make it at the pro level did not succeed in a position he never played before.

Well, we'll always have the time he beat the Steelers in a playoff game.

Going to be a long season for Lawrence.

Agreed. On top of losing his Clemson teammate, the Jags O-line is trash. I think Lawrence will be a great QB...just not this year.

Tampa Bay Times: Former Jaguars kicker Josh Lambo says he was kicked by Urban Meyer during warmups
I still struggle to understand how someone who had the wherewithal to buy an NFL franchise also thought that hiring Urban Meyer to coach it was a good idea.

Khan just needs to wait another half season or so and he'll be able to fire him for cause, save himself a lot of money.

If what Lambo states is true, Khan won't have to wait that long.

What a piece of work. Thats a dude that just needs to be knocked on his ass. Disrespecting grown men is a good way to have it happen too.

I hope he never coaches again once he's fired in Jacksonville.

This was the closest thing we'll get to a Scaramucci in the NFL. What a debacle. I always had a very negative opinion of Meyer from the way he would quit and return, but I thought that was more of just pompous, self-absorbed behavior. Maybe he's been doing stuff like this all along and I was just unaware, but the complete lack of professionalism and judgement has gotta be close to unprecedented even by the comparatively low standards of NFL coaching circles.

This seems like one of those rare instances where everyone was unanimous that it was a bad idea from the start. Except for the people making the decision.
In an odd twist the Khans actually run 2 of my other favorite professional entities (Fulham Football Club and All Elite Wresting). Thankfully they are doing a better job at running those than they are the Jaguars.
