It's been an opinion that taking Fournette at 4 is worse than taking Trubisky at 2 in the same draft.

That's...something I never considered.

I think you can very much argue that from a process standpoint.

However, as for results, it's not close IMO because playing Fournette at RB was a net positive, while playing Mitch at QB was pretty clearly a net negative, which is kinda a big deal given the position.

2 years ago, the Ravens would have been linked.  Thankfully with the backs we have, Fournette is a non issue.

The juice isn't worth the squeeze with him and It's another addition by subtraction move.  The Jaguars might be a last place club, but they're doing it their own way and players are buying into it.  I don't think the players thought much of Fournette and his run through the line for a minimum gain and +30 reps to get 100 yards just wasn't cutting the mustard on offense.

Meyer should just stay on TV. If the team is not performing he'll just quit again, citing health reasons. It's why he got out of coaching before. At least the NFL isn't the NCAA about recruiting questionable characters. The NFL gives them large 2nd contracts.

There will be be a lot of potential spots for Flacco next year: JAX, MIA, WAS and DEN come to mind.

Do you really Elway would bring him back to Denver? I’m guessing Miami brings Fitzpatrick back if they build around Tua or draft a new QB and trade him. That’s unless he gets his own chance to start elsewhere. I’m guessing WAS all depends on Alex Smith. Jacksonville might be good if they want to give Lawrence a chance to settle in.
