I like what Mike Savage is doing up at New Town, do they have enough to push for the playoffs? Owings Mills, Overlea, and Randallstown are all W's in my book.

Plus I’m also certain they’ll be moving up in classification with all the new developments popping up in that area. It’s gonna be fun to watch their progress

New town will definitely improve but what Burgos and Coach White have took over a decade to build not 2 years

Savage has the Pikesville Rec connection and those kids love him. He should have tried to get the Pikesville HS position when it opened a couple of years ago. That would have been a perfect fit.

Edmondson has a more mellow Joe Clark-type principal over in the Village. He’s a Calvert Hall grad, c/o ‘85. He and the HC are on the same page, for sure.
I am impressed with Edmondson. Coach has that team winning every year despite some huge obstacles. Hats off very good job.

New Town program overall has not been bad. I believe they made the playoffs in their second year of varsity play. As a 1A school playing some difficult schedules, they were usually a .500 or better team. I see a culture change going on there. I also do not see them moving up to 3A any time soon.

I would have loved to seen Woodlawn get in, but I'm sure it won't be long for Elwood. Well see big one this week as the winner should move on to the playoffs New Town vs Owings Mills.

Isn't New Town a magnet school?

That must be something new. They were strictly a zone school when they opened

They’re 2a currently and they won’t have a choice in classification because it’s based on enrollment of freshman-juniors. If you ride up Lyons mill road, it’s about 10 new town home complexes. I’d be surprised if they remain in 2a
