Brandon Hyde said Orioles right-hander Dean Kremer will pitch about four innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday

Nice.  I'd think he could get away with just one start in that case.  Suarez and Irvin continue to confound expectations, so not sure exactly what I'd do with the rotation when he's ready.  I think Suarez or Povich could be pretty useful in the pen as well.  I still trust Kremer more than any of those three, but wouldn't argue with those that put Kremer behind each of them.  If all 3 have good starts again next week before Kremer is activated, I could see letting Kremer pitch twice in the minors.

Several weeks ago I posted some numbers I saw on Kremer's avg against compared to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd time though the order. It screamed relief pitcher.

His higher K/9 than Suarez and Irvin makes him a better candidate for the pen too I think.

As someone who's been very critical of Kremer I will say that the end of his season was the best hes ever looked. Its encouraging.

We’re gonna need him

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Eflin would be the OD starter right now. Think we will add someone else who will clearly be ahead of Kremer as well

Healthy Grayson is ahead too, though Kremer has gotten closer.

I'd pick Rodriguez over Eflin but think we need someone who is clearly better than both.

He's a good solid 4th/5th. Loves proving 2035 wrong. His statcast data got much better after he incorporated that revamped splitter/change.

He's a decent back-of-the-rotation starter, though I suspect he'll be moved up to #3 next season by default.

I gotta think they'll bring in someone who's an expected improvement on Kremer. I want someone who's an improvement over Eflin and Rodriguez, but don't quite expect that big of a move. But if they just add back of rotation mediocrity (at best) behind Kremer I'll be really disappointed.

I'll react to whatever they do and judge them compared to what I think they should've done. Certainly no good reason to only bring in a Kyle Gibson type, so as far as expectations I think they'll do better than that since it'd be stupid and irresponsible not to do so. Stupid sold the team, so I don't feel resigned to them doing stupid things anymore. We'll see.

I'll be happy if they bring in another starter on the Rodriguez/ Eflin level. Those three at the top, Kremer 4th, and Povich with a solid lead on the 5th spot with some other competition.

They will acquire a 2/3 type at minimum.

I'd be content with that. I really like Eovaldi.
But do think it makes sense to aim bigger even if it costs more. Resign Burnes or trade for Crochet are my preferred options. Plenty of good options available, very interested in seeing which they choose.
