Pat Spencer with 1 goal, sure he had 4 helpers but if he wants the Tewaaraton this year he needs to take over in big time games like this.
Kudos to Towson with the big one. Faceoffs off are huge, and they won 12 of the final 13 at X, that's just a huge advantage.

Great win for Towson. They've proven they're legit early on this season, dominating Hopkins, handling Georgetown, and now this huge win over #1 Loyola.
I was watching last night, and Towson's goalie had an incredible save late in the 4th, when it was a 1-goal game, that reminded me of the Holtby save against Vegas in the finals. Wish I had a video readily available to post. Maybe I can find it later.
But Woodall is one of the best faceoff men in the country, and he certainly played a huge part in their win.
On a side note, I love that the crease dive is back. There were a couple decent dives in this game, but Pat Spencer easily had the best one of the year so far over the weekend.

I converted the twitter video to a GIF on my phone but can't upload it to the site. Here's the link, what a save!

This link has the video to the Pat Spencer crease dive goal. It's as nice a score as you'll see this season.

Definitely feels like this season will have a crazy finish to it, heading into the tournament. It's still early, but already so many upsets and half these games feel like toss-ups. The parity is very real this season.
Big props to Towson earning that #1 ranking. It's gonna be a tough weekend for them, facing Cornell on Sunday less than 48 hours after playing Jacksonville. Think I may go to their game vs Denver in a couple weeks. Should be a bigtime matchup.

Terps lose to Penn State, meaning the Nittany Lions will likely remain #1 this coming week. Longest tenure for a #1 teams remains with them as they stroll into their 4th straight week. Tough for the Terps to bounce back from an 8-1 Q1, but they made the game interesting late. Just too little too late. Penn State's first ever win over the Terps.
AND THE BIG TEN IS JUST HEATING UP. MUCH MORE APRIL LACROSSE TO COME

Midweek action for your Wednesday night:
Syracuse-Cornell (going on now) - top-10 matchup which will have playoff implications
Princeton-Siena (going on now)
Loyola-Georgetown (7pm) - could be a must-win for Georgetown to build their already impressive resume that includes an 8-3 record

Outside of the Terps the local (D1) teams came up small.
Unless Hopkins wins the Big Ten tourney they will likely miss out on the tourney.
I can't take Loyola serious as a title contender after they no showed against Boston on Saturday.
Shout out to the Sea Gulls who rallied back with 8 goals in the 4th quarter on Saturday to beat Washington College in double OT.
