I'm no scout or GM, but it seems like Rodriguez's job is done in Salisbury, and should be sent west across the bridge.

I hope that is the last start at Delmarva.
I actually shorted him, they let him pitch the 7th and get to 100 pitches. Seems like a lot of guys in A, A+, and AA could use a step up for the second half.

But at some point, it becomes obvious that you are too talented for the level you are at.
GRod is at that point imo. I won’t be upset if they have get a few more starts in Delmarva. But the second half of the season should see him in Frederick.

Scout who saw Grayson Rodriguez today saw "definite top of rotation talent." Saw an easy 93, touching 95, 96 with a future grade 65 change and 60 curveball. Said changeup was outstanding, arm speed and movement was really there. Glowing report.

First poor outing of the year raises his ERA to 2.63. Same day as he was announced to the all-star team.

At least the walks and Ks weren’t bad.

He gave up 3 doubles and 5 singles. Only 1 of the three doubles knocked in a run (looks like it knocked in 2).
So, he was singled to death for the most part. Probably some unlucky hits against him.

Hopefully just a minor league field/defense issue. No walks and no homeruns are good. Be interesting to see how he rebounds next time out.

Obviously had some command and control issues tonight despite the lack of runs and hits allowed and the amount of Ks.
Besides the 3 walks, he threw 93 pitches in 4 innings. He only threw 56% of his pitches for strikes.

Maybe skip a turn and have his next start be in Frederick to jump start his second half.
Yea, he certainly could have hit some kind of a wall.

Was the biggest mover on the Pipeline on mlb.com.
Moved up just outside top 50 (#54) and is now listed as Orioles top prospect.

Hall has control issues and GRod seems to have more pitches.
As good as Hall can be and you love his upside, especially as a lefty, I don’t really see those 2 that close right now.
