After the early 2000s success of FB/MBB, Yow funneled most of the big money the happy donors gave into non-revenue sports to rack up championships in those and collect a nice bonus for herself, rather than keep up in the investment race in the revenue sports. Lo and behold, it turns out the donors don’t write quite as big a check after a natty in field hockey as they do in basketball.
