Moore makes the grab on the punt return.... MD at around midfield.

UCF having 14 points is not an issue.   They have some players, Frost is a quality Coach....

MD losing Hill and the offense being dead is horrible.

As has been pointed out... have to get something going pass wise, to help pull defenders from the box, and get back to their strength... running the ball.

Brutal half.

Terps down 14-3.

This whole half was an embarrassment in just about every conceivable way.

You can build a $155 million football facility but you can't get a functional game clock in your stadium. The university ought to be ashamed.

Will be interesting to see what their first drive looks like coming out of the half. As Matt Leinart just said during the halftime show, they'll have a chance to sit with Max and see what he's most comfortable with. If they can get the running game going with high tempo, they can move the ball. Max didn't look bad against Nebraska last year, he has enough arm talent to manage this team to a win.

They've been with and watched Bortenschlager enough to know what he is comfortable with. He can either get the job done or he can't.

Looks like his offers were at a lower tier (Buffalo, etc), but his UM Terps bio said he was recruited by Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, Louisville, Rutgers, Indiana, Purdue and Minnesota.

He was a consensus 3 star... that's not a player with zero talent.

I also haven't seen anything (aside from the immediate slant to Moore) which gives a lot of confidence.

But coming into a game cold, and being asked to perform isn't particularly easy.

Hopefully can make some adjustments at the half. I just hope MD can find a way to escape with a W.

Regardless, going to be far less enjoyable watching MD the rest of the way if Hill is out.

I think that is fair.

2nd year with the program. Had the full off-season.  Even got the start last year.

They shouldn't have to simplify the play book too much.

Maybe I missed, but has it been confirmed Hill will not return to this game? It certainly didn't look good....for today or the rest of the season.

Haven't seen confirmation of either.

Definitely didn't look like he was coming back today.

Danny Kannel right right that Bortenschalger has to make quicker decisions.

He doesn't there, and he's dropped again. MD to punt.

Poor series coming out of the half.
