Well, it looks like Daniels doesn't really know how to slide, and got his helmet knocked off twice in his first game, so I'm not feeling great about his chances for longevity.

From the little I saw of the game it felt like watching Haskins under center.
Daniels may be good but I have little faith that organization can develop a star QB.

His helmet, simply put, didn’t fit properly. Winfield got sloppy and made a helmet to helmet hit, but it wasn’t a decleater. The other one was silly. He was being stopped by a wall of tacklers and it was like his helmet was still a body in motion.

Note that I beat NMS by months
May have finally found a franchise QB. Kinda like him more than Williams

No turnovers yet. That’s the biggest sign for me.

According to ESPN, yesterday's Cincy-Washington game was the first since 1940 with no turnovers and no punts.

Excluding kneel-downs, the Commanders have scored on 14 straight possessions.
I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but then I read stuff like this:
In the locker room after the game, players gushed about Daniels’s composure and guts and accuracy. They relived the plays and talked about how a game like that could transform a team. In one corner, Cosmi and right tackle Andrew Wylie walked through the chaos of the last play together.
“The guys were all confused. He put them in the right formation — ” Cosmi said.
“ — and snapped it with one second left and delivered a f------ corner pylon toss,” Wylie continued. “I mean, it was f------ nuts.”

I noticed that confusion too, and Daniels was the leader in that situation and got them in position to snap the ball in time. All of this in his 3rd NFL game. The kid was brilliant last night. I am sure he'll have some rookie ups and downs but he showed me a lot last night. I think the biggest takeaway was the field vision and arm strength.
And apologies to the brilliant people who knew this months ago. I don't watch college football.

Saw the helmet slam, missed everything else. Hope it’s nothing serious.
Uh oh, I think Daniels might be hurt.

Headed to the locker room for an xray on his ribs. Frick.
Still don't know how bad anything is, but I do know there was NO reason to try to put him back in yesterday when they were already up so big when it happened. Guessing we will hear more at some point today.

It worries me that he weighs like 110 pounds and doesn't seem to know how to slide or even fall.
