I'd really love to see them move him up to Bowie for a couple of starts. Kid is a stud.

They tend to let their younger guys have a full year at Delmarva. This is Hall's first full season as a pro. Maybe they bump him up for a start or 2 as the season starts to wind down here - my guess is he starts next year in Frederick with a possible promotion to Bowie by the middle of next year. Possible ETA in Baltimore of 2020.
He looks great though - his numbers in July were impressive.

Ends the year with 13 straight starts allowing 1 ER or less and 7 of them scoreless. Pretty strong first full season.

Does Hall big picture project to be a legitimate ace?
I don't know that you can truly "project" any starter to be a legitimate ace.
He does have that upside though, yes.

BTW, for once I think the Orioles writers are under-selling someone.
For Melewski to say he had a "pretty strong" season - it was really a fantastic season for a 19-year old in his first year of full season ball.

Steve is pretty conservative in his views and for good reasons: the Orioles development system has ranged from mediocre to horrible in recent years.BTW, for once I think the Orioles writers are under-selling someone.

HR rate and K rate were very good. He only gave up 68 hits in 94 innings.
I also like seeing that he ended the year better than he started it.
