I feel the salary cap thread is kind of all over the place.  If Chris doesn't feel that way and wants to merge this with that thread, so be it.

 

Anyway, this is a thread about the Ravens free agents, whether they are coming or going and who they may be looking to bring in.

I took no news on BWill as good news. Not that we will get him back but the fact nothing was trickling out early led me to believe we were still in the mix.

If the Ravens are doing what I think they're doing I love it. Focusing on putting more of their resources on defense. Built that unit up to be strong first and foremost.

That's going to be an interesting question. If Webb wants to start, he'll likely not agree to stay for less. But, I wonder if they could carve a spot for him in nickel and dime to get him to stay around - obviously, at a lesser salary.

Or, it may be one of those, we'll release you, but if you don't find anything better by May/June, we'll entertain bringing you back.

My guess is BWill went on the market, didn't get the HUGE offer he thought and with him being willing to take a little less money to stay here, it means we are still in on him.

Yea, I think he's definitely gone in terms of his current cap number.

 

But you still need depth and it wouldn't surprise me to see then keep him as insurance and the role you talked about.

 

Like you said, he likely is cut, hits the open market and sees what he can get.

Danny Woodhead now?   Definitely a useful player, but hope we didn't sign him for a whole lot.

By that I mean, he is coming off a major injury and aging.  Is this a way to replace the pass catching that Juice used to give us?
