I think they should ride with Brissett. They have a decent enough team other than the QB. Their defense is above average. They have a really good 1-2 punch with Chubb and Hunt. WR is a little weak, only Amari Cooper is probably above average. Of their first 11 games, they are probably outmatched against LA (Chargers), Baltimore, Cincinnati, Buffalo, and Tampa Bay. The other 6 games are all games they should at least have a chance in. They are Carolina, NY Jets, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, New England, and Miami. If they can pull of an upset against 1 of the first 5, and manage to go 4 out of 6 in the 2nd set they could get to Watson with a 5-6 record. Problem is in the AFC it probably going to take 11-12 wins to get a wild card as loaded as it is.
Thing is, even when they get Watson back, what do they have? Personally, I always thought he's been way over-rated. He's made some sportscenter dynamic plays, but I don't think he's ever been all that clutch of a QB. He had some decent Houston teams (terrible coach though) and never got them past more than 1 win in the playoffs. I've never been that sold on him. And now he hasn't played in two years. He looked horrible the other night.
