I'll also go with the status quo finals pick: Warriors over the Cavs.

Nope. Curry is not Curry anymore. They.might not even win the West

Unless there are key injuries I doubt anyone beats them.

I think the Clippers are the third best team in the league and actually underrated at this point due to the failure to advance further in the playoffs. They still have 2 top 8 players along with DJ and JJ, plus they have strong continuity.

Love the trio, and JJ has had a solid career...  some usable bench pieces as well. Think they've improved the depth there over the past year.  Rivers a good coach.

Know people have legitimate issues with Jordan being on the floor late... know Rusillo (ESPN) said there is a perception among FO types that Blake is uncomfortable at the end of games in close and late... know one of the links in this thread had a scout saying that 3 PGs have now passed Paul...    but yeah, hard to ask for more from a trio.

Paul is still the best pure PG IMO. Curry is the better player and Westbrook is arguably better. No one else is roughly as good or better than CP3, though.

One of the links in this thread had takes on every team (link was Western Conference teams) from opposing scouts... that scout also had Lilliard above him, and said he was concerned about CP3 as an injury risk going forward.

I strongly disagree with that scout regarding Lillard.

One of those "hot take" shows on ESPN actually tweeted a poll asking if Kevin Durant makes the Warriors worse.

Lol.

Also, I know it's just one game, but the Spurs looked damn impressive last night.

Its amusing how frequently they get written off.

They may be better this year.  Gasol now is better than Duncan was last year.

Gasol better offensively for sure. Some of their depth has changed, but like the options. The UCLA kid, and the Houston (?) defensive first guard. Big Party Mills fan. Lee a good fit there.

Thunder will get the W, as they win in Philly.

So the Pelicans still lost, but check out Anthony Davis' line:

50 points, 16 boards, 5 assists, 7 steals, 4 blocks

A Wade 3 puts Chicago up 5 on Boston, with 26 seconds left.

The NBA is getting as bad as the NFL now with all these game stoppages for long video reviews.
