Terrapin helmet man. Don’t care what else
Like the Pride helmet, but the Terrapin helmet is my favorite.

I always liked the Shellmet. Unique idea that I felt like they could've expanded on.

It was a one-time thing that won't (or at least shouldn't) reappear in our lifetimes, but the Star Spangled Anniversary uniforms were pretty awesome.

Apparently they only wore these during the 1970 season, but they need to break them out more.

Now just get rid of that block "M" and bring back the Testudo logo, and all will be right in Terrapinworld.

IMS: Maryland athletics has decided whether to stay with Under Armour or entertain Nike
https://247sports.co...nike-232705137/
The University of Maryland is moving toward renewing its athletic sponsorship with Under Armour for 12 years, according to a publicly released document detailing an upcoming Board of Regents meeting.
Under Armour, the Baltimore-based sports apparel company started by former Terps football player Kevin Plank, has been Maryland athletics' exclusive apparel partner since 2005. According to the document, the deal "will provide $98 million to the University over the next twelve years." That's a significant increase from the current deal, which expires on June 30, a 10-year extension worth $3.4 million per year signed in 2014, barely $200,000 per year more than the previous deal was worth.

Disappointing
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

Disappointing
Why? Know some people prefer Nike's apparel, but you've got the direct relationship with Plank, why would you want to abandon that?
Besides you've got UA here in Baltimore, representing jobs, and an example of a great company that can be built here.
I look at it similar to the O's and TRP... if you are going to have these type of relationships, ideally they are with great local partners.
Glad they will get this done.

A lot of it is recruiting based. Apparel companies get an in with these kids in HS/AAU. It’s less impactful in football than basketball, but when it comes to basketball Nike is king of the hill and the kids they get pre-college tend to stick with their brand.
That position I've understood, but have always found overblown. In the current ($) climate I think it matters less.

Under Armour ruined the brand. I really dislike everything they’ve done since they took over. I don’t care about Plank or the local ties.
I like the current football and basketball unis. Particularly the throwbacks.... admittedly I did love the old Nike basketball ones.
Guess I also get not caring about the business side... but if MD's going to have a large apparel deal, I'd prefer it be with the company HQd here.
