Went 6 innings and struck out 10 last night. Allowed 1 run on 4 hits (one was a homer) and didn’t walk anyone.
Almost had more strikeouts than TOTAL balls thrown. 13 balls in 6 innings. That's insane.

Saw that AAA leagues are using MLB balls for the first time and runs per game are up pretty significantly (I want to say like half a run). Something to keep in mind with numbers coming out of Norfolk I suppose.
Don't tell Trea this. Harbor Park is the only reason Sisco isn't hitting!

His walk rate is definitely higher than what its been in the past. Strikeout rate is right in line with what you would expect so hopefully that will get ironed out as the season goes on. Trying to keep in mind that they're using the ML ball in AAA but at the same time thats what he'll be using against ML competition as well.

I agree that I think the walk rate is Akin's biggest concern right now as well, but it is still early in the season, and he has time to adjust. Perhaps the change in the ball has a little bit to do with the walk rate as well, since I've definitely seen comments from pitchers saying they can feel the difference.

ERA down to 3.60 ERA. Can’t be far away from a ML look.

Can replace Straily next time through. Probably not, but I'd be fine with it.

So, 14 walks in his first 27.1 IP and now 2 walks in 12.2 IP.
Total walk rate of 3.6.
I would give him another start or 2 in AAA to make sure command and control are back but after that, Im ready for him to come up.
