It's bad for the league. They need to amend the CBA to prevent this.
There are literally 27-28 teams that have no prayer to win the title. That's not good.
On one hand, I think creating a super team leads to a lot of attention and intrigue, but it definitely sucks in regards to competitive balance. Bunch of teams are basically going to paying for a injury to give them more of a shot.

@bomani_jones we created an environment where the ring is the only thing we respect, now the players are strictly ring chasing can't be mad

One NBA team exec who says he was previously interested in trading for Andrew Bogut texts he's no longer interested. "I'm not helping them."

Turning the NBA into the most boring league in sports. They could always change the rules so players were allowed to play defense again, that'd stop GS' brand of nonsense at least.

Their brand of play is very entertaining and defense is generally just fine.

This shouldn't be an issue for the Warriors as the Mavs are very much interested.

Interesting. It figured anyone interested in Bogut could get him for nothing, but I wonder if GS is going to have to offer some enticements now to get someone to play along?

Is this good or bad for the NBA?
Going back to this, was The Decision ultimately good or bad for the league? I'd say good. However, this team should be better than that team and it destroyed one of the top contenders in the process while not creating a new one, so this is worse in terms of competitive balance.

Unless that "I'm not helping them" was Cuban.

Sources say Dallas, furthermore, has emerged as a strong potential trade destination for Andrew Bogut, who the Warriors must now move.

As I said before...a player leaves to win it's a problem...he leaves for money it's a problem...if he stays and loses it's a problem..DO YOU

Next summer presents the challenge for GSW when Durant likely opts-out. With non-bird rights GSW will need to carve out $35m in room.

The lack of bigs and a relatively thin bench will obviously be the big worries for the Warriors. Lets see if they can acquire a semi competent big or two as Green and KD can't consistently be the bigs.

I don't have a problem with KD doing what he feels is best for him, but anyone who got on LeBron for chasing rings or teaming up or whatever better have evolved in their position or do the same here. Stephen A makes legit points about why this is even worse from that perspective.
