That Bailey for Reddick trade is looking even more one-sided by the day.It won't happen, but if the A's make the playoffs--and especially if they can take the division--Reddick will have a legitimate MVP case. He's third in the AL in rWAR and tied for third in fWAR, though Trout is running away with both types of that stat.

(And I totally presume they are saying the same thing about the O's right about now.)

I love that the Oakland A's won last night 20-2 and embarrassed the Red Sox.

Jon Heyman said that about the O's, but I got no problem with this, after all nobody expected the A's to be where they are.ESPN: Oakland A's have become best story of 2012

Even Hayden Penn didn't get his skull broken...Good to see he is doing better. McCarthy really does not seem to be able to get a break. I think he is a good pitcher but can not stay healthy.

ANAHEIM -- A's outfielder Yoenis Cespedes left Thursday's game against the Angels with a sprained right wrist and has been deemed day to day.
Cespedes suffered the injury while sliding into second base in the fourth inning and was replaced in left field in the top of the fifth by Brandon Moss, who began the game at first base. Chris Carter assumed that position.
In his first big league season, Cespedes has endured a handful of injuries. But when healthy, his presence in the lineup is undeniable, as the A's are 70-38 when he plays, compared to 12-22 when he doesn't start.

A's are also squandering an opportunity to make a run at the Rangers for the division... and of course, the Angels loom (And have a ridiculously easy schedule remaining).
