Wow, there's absolutely a worse owner than the Angelos family in MLB.

Yeah, could never argue Angelos was 30th of 30.

Pro Sports Owner: We want to move to your city.

Mayor: Yeahhhh, no thanks.

That's gotta be a first.

Sounds more like she'd like the A's, but where the stadium is to be located is out of her control, and the A's owner hasn't been very open with county officials.

The mayor has no say in this, Clark County does. I’m betting it still happens. But the mayor makes some great points. Building the stadium on the actual strip is just insane.

Read more to me like she wants MLB, but she doesn't want John Fisher. And who can blame her?

“Please stay away”

lol

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

You have to check out this design if you haven't already seen it!

Oakland A's@Athletics·
Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento will host the A's for the 2025-27 seasons - ahead of the team's move to Vegas in 2028.

Pretty amusing that an owner who "couldn't afford" to invest in the team or a new stadium in Oakland has no problem taking huge revenue hits from 2023-2027 (and years before 2023) just to get his subsidized stadium in 2028.

Since he's a billionaire I'm sure he'll make out in the end because people like him created the system.  Sad state of American sports.

Which means there will only be about 25k empty seats per game....better than now, I guess.
