Meh. Probably not where the Ravens now figure to pick, but I have no problem in-general using a 1st on a RB.

Seconded.  Fournette is not in this class.  If we suck this badly next year we can talk about it, but not this year.

Pass rush, CB, or WR would be the only acceptable first round selections in my book.  I think we'll lose KO, but Urschel should be able to cover an guard spot well enough for us to survive on the line without spending a top pick.

Ravens 3rd overall..

Jalen Ramsey, DB, Florida State
Other than the obvious reason—his top-shelf talent—Ramsey's potential to play either cornerback or safety at the next level will be instrumental in pushing him up the board. Baltimore has Will Hill and Kendrick Lewis in at safety, but its secondary continues to be ineffective and injury-plagued. Ramsey could start just about anywhere he is needed.

As I have stated, I would look to trade some guys now..give you some ammo to move around at the draft.

You need a DE that can get to QBs, so that the Ravens don't have to blitz to get pressure.

You need a starting CB opposite of Smith.

If you can get anything for Steve Smith I think they need to make a move.

Steve Smith, Daryl Smith and KO would easily be on the list to trade. 2 of them are almost assuredly gone after the season. Smith is a maybe.

Do we have enough cap space to pay a top pick in next year's draft?

If they don't, they'll make the space. The pretty much have to redo Flacco's contract, so that should make a fair amount of room based on what they are projected to have right now.

Should, especially with the probable increase.

The will definitely sign all of their draft picks. The cap hit for a high pick will be in the $4M-$5M range. Most of it signing bonus, $15M-$17M, as the rookie pay scale yields small base salaries.

I think CB or Pass-rusher has to be the first pick. Think about moving Webb to FS/slot corner instead of starting on the outside. Arrington is okay. Davis looked good in a very limited role, but he's coming off ACL now.

Still don't think the Ravens will be picking top 5. Maybe in the top 10. Ramsey or Hargreaves would be ideal. Bosa is likely gone. Maybe Calhoun. Myles Jack is a more athletic version of CJ Mosley. Smith is a similar player as well. Not sure either are what Ravens need.

Treadwell looks awfully tempting.

Ramsey is a playmaker, no doubt about that.

I'm not going to get excited for a top pick until the end of the season. We'll end up coming back and winning enough games to ruin our chance at an impact rookie next year.

We can find an impact rookie anywhere in the top-15.  Also, I can't really see us finishing with more than 6 wins and even that might be a struggle.  Schedule definitely gets easier, but we're pretty damn bad.  Hard to envision us winning against @Arizona, San Diego, Seattle, Pittsburgh, and @Cincinnati (unless they are playing scrubs by then).  The other 5, I think we'd be lucky to go 3-2.  Say we steal one game in each group, and that's a 5-5 finish for 6-10.
