I basically had to roll with the QB streaming strategy out of necessity in my first draft of the year last week. QBs were flying off the board early, with Luck and Rogers going in the first two picks and lots of reaching over the first few rounds.

Didn't draft my first QB til the 6th or 7th when I picked up Tannehil. A couple rounds later I grabbed Philip Rivers as insurance. Really pleased how it turned out, because I'm totally stacked with top level talent at every other position.

Generally, I don't employ any specific strategy, but just try and work around the flow of that particular draft. Though, I do probably tend to value elite RBs the most.

Ok, looking for responses from Nickle, Ricker, Mackus, Cisc-O and Chris B.

Keeper deadline is 8/23 so that we can lock in and draft in the last 2 weeks before the season starts.

Keeper question --

Keep Randall Cobb and give up my third round pick

or

Keep Russell Wilson and give up my seventh round pick?

I can pick 7,8,9 or 10 (my choice). any suggestions?

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

No worries, just trying to get official counts so we can lock it up.

Assuming it's a snake draft, I'd like that 10 spot so you can get the back to back picks.

Anyone interested in starting up an Ottoneu Football league?

I've got 2 in already. It's a crazy in depth dynasty league where you can draft college players as "minor leaguers".

Pretty standard, the normal options. PPR or no, standard, flex or superflex.

Has to be auction and $20 a head fee to the site. I spend $10 on the baseball league and I'm happy to do it. Gonna have to start brushing up on my college football...I think a couple guys in here could kick some serious butt with as much as they know about NCAA when it comes time to draft prospects.

Sweet. Let's see if we can round up a couple more and let's try this out. I've been talking to Niv, the guy behind Ottoneu about it for a couple weeks so I'm excited.

How are you guys dividing your money this year? 1/2/3, winner take all, etc?

In two $100 per team leagues. One is a Keeper PPR where I'm keeping Jeremy Hill, Cooks and Tre Mason. And have the 1st overall with Bell already being kept. And in a standard PPR league with the 2nd overall pick where Bell is likely the first gone.

Open to some opinions on where to go with those picks. Pretty much looking at the same board for both 1st rounders. I'm leaning towards AP. But that's risky.

I'm not sure if I should go AP, Charles, McCoy, Lacy or Lynch.

I take it the studs don't get kept for some reason in both leagues, so age isn't really a factor since you won't be keeping whomever you draft.  Hard to go wrong, but I think I'd go Lynch.  He's the most consistent, and even if he's not usually the #1 scorer from that group, he's never hurt and gets consistent TDs and consistent touches.  All the guys at the top are studs, it's more important to avoid the one or two guys who will get hurt, get old all of a sudden, or find themselves in some weird timeshare that limits their TDs.  Hard (nearly impossible) to predict ahead of time who that will be, but I think Peterson, Charles, and Lacy are the riskiest guys.  Peterson and Charles because of the potential downside due to rust, age, or injury and Lacy due to the relatively low ceiling compared to the rest of the group.

Only one is a Keeper. The other is a standard league. In the keeper you cannot keep anyone drafted in the first 2 rounds. And anyone kept counts as a pick 2 rounds above where he was picked the year prior.

I was thinking Lynch as well. Or AP. He was consistent before his suspension. But the potential of McCoy, Charles and Lacy are so damn inticing. Especially in a PPR format.
